TeeVee: Big Brother 11 (8/9)
Let's recap it first: Last week Russell (the Mongoose) was Head of Household and sent Ronnie (the Rat/Snake) home with help from swing voter Michelle (the Worst Human Being)...Don't yell at me for the nicknames, the BB Hamsters came up with them, themselves. AND if you think that's the end of them, you're sadly mistaken. Chima (the Queenbee) won the HOH competition this week AND Jeff (Mr. Technotronics) holds the mysterious Coup d'etat power (The Wizard) which he plans to use wisely.
New this week: We got to learn a lot about Chima. Her HOH room contained some great attitude-filled baby pictures and pictures of her family. She also got a letter from her sick mother, which she says will give her strength. We also learned she's a survivor of a violent rape 10 years ago, which she was able to escape and the guy is now on death row. I completely agree with Kevin that I have a new respect for Chima for being able to survive such a horrible situation and be willing to talk about it and perhaps help others who have gone through similar situations. She also told Michelle she really wants a woman to win this season, and I couldn't agree with her more!
Have/Have-Not Competition: Jeremy Piven! One of Jeff's Top 8 Celebs he'd want to come in the house...um, sure...came to pimp his movie about selling cars. SORRY, I have no interest in seeing this movie, hence I forgot the title. I love the fact that Jeremy Piven calls out Lydia for being crazy, calls out Jeff and Jordan for hooking up and calls out Kevin for 'being straightened' by the BB house. Oh and P.S. Jessie: Jeremy Piven does NOT want to hang out with you outside of the house.
Basically the Hamsters are split into two groups and they have to stuff odd objects (including themselves) into a station wagon. The one with the most points (each object was assigned a random number) wins.
Best part of this competition: (TIE) 1. Kevin's face shoved up against Lydia's butt.
2. Jordan showcasing all of the items for her team.
Worst part of this competition: Yet another chance for Jessie to rattle off his gigantic measurements for us, because it's hard for him to squeeze into the car.
Winners!: Jessie, Natalie, Jordan and Russell with 410 points. The second part of this was to open up some commission checks, and Russell beat out Natalie for an easy 10K.
Losers!: Jeff, Lydia, Kevin and Michelle. Looks like slop and metal beds for you.
Important Chit-Chats:
1. Russell apologizes to Chima for last week's outburst. Can't blame the guy, he kind of had to do it, but that doesn't mean Chima has to trust him.
2. Lydia still wants to be Jessie's friend (stalker), but Natalie walks in and breaks it up. She then storms off to the HOH room and plays the psycho jealous girlfriend. Poor Jessie, trapped in a love triangle. This is what I got from Jessie: Natalie broke down a wall with a tanker, and he's trying to mend it with popsicle sticks and bubble gum. (No really he said that). Chima watches this all go down, and is afraid that her alliance with Natalie and Jessie will be doomed if Lydia doesn't leave soon.
3. Jordan tells Jeff she thinks that Michelle has the "Wizard" Power and they're in trouble. Jeff lays it on thick that they're fine, and Jordan doesn't get it.
4. Jeff and Jordan talk spiders. Hilariousness insues.
Nominations: No real surprise here. Chima puts up Russell (as promised) and Lydia for eviction this week. AND Jeff tells us he'll make his decision for who he wants to go home after the POV.
Jessie is worried about the mysterious "Wizard" or as he calls it the "Unicorn" and I think he should be. I think that's Jeff's option, that would cripple the other alliance, and he can surely beat Natalie in the next HOH competition, right?
