Cashmere Mafia - Episode Four
Thank-god the Easter break is over and regular scheduled television is back on! My first port of call - tonights episode of Cashmere Mafia.
Episode four and the girls are finding themselves spending less and less time together and more and more time ruining their personal lives with silly choices that seemed forced and only put in to push the girls into new story lines.
I must say, I am enjoying this series more and more with every new episode that comes along, and even though Juliet /Miranda Otto annoy the beejesus outta me and sometimes the outfits and hairstyles are a little "I've been attacked by Edward Scissor hands" I seem to be happy to enjoy this little train that could.
BUT
Why is Caitlins girlfriend of four weeks, Alicia, suddenly turning up pregnant? One would have to think that such an event would happen maybe a couple of years into a relationship, but yet, Alicia spews out this line about wanting to have a baby, and the time was right which pushed Caitlin into having a one night stand with some local trade....me thinks this is more of a cop out so that Caitlin can leave Lesbos and go back to breederville, and while on the subject of Caitlin, whats with the 80's metallic outfits?
Shock and horror! I actually liked Juliet tonight! Perhaps Miranda Otto found a heater and somehow overcame the coldness she had been oozing in previous episodes as Juliet Draper. Her scenes with her look-at-me-look-at-me daughter were warm and homely and watchable. Juliet just needs to dump the cheating husband and we could be seeing a change of heart from this viewer!
Oh Mia Mia Mia. I don't know if I had some bad reception on my television or if the Mexican food I had for dinner was blurring my vision but was Lucy Liu looking overly Asian? Perhaps it was the garish shade of lipstick and the try hard smartie glasses she was wearing? Moving on from that, Mia has become the most annoying character at the moment. Her job bores me, her boss and colleagues bore me and her romance choices bore me. You know it must be bad when the clothing she is wearing has me more interested than the storyline.
Last but not least, dear Zoe and her work versus home dilemmas continue and time after time, Zoe for some god only knows reason, chooses the job over the hot hubby and happy home. That is until she finds a happy family snap and guilt inducing post it note from her hubby nicely stashed in her suitcase whilst on a business trip with her 'work hubby' that basically kicked her in the nads and off she left, leaving her 'work hubby' to play the one handed flute.
Next week sees the 2 hour season finale where one of the girls misplaces a sex tape! Oh my how Paris!
